Kaizen
The term, Kaizen, or 改善in Chinese, is a way of life philosophy, believing that every aspect of our lives needs to be constantly improved. The Japanese management adopts this philosophy faithfully and the intensity of Kaizen increase drastically after World War II with Toyota leading the way. It has since spread to businesses throughout the world.

“Kai” = to change, or the action to correct
“Zen” = for the better, or improvement

Kaizen, is now an acceptable management jargon, meaning Continuous Improvement. Kaizen activities in workplace, participates from the CEO to the assembly line worker, working individually and collectively, improve all functions of a business, from manufacturing to management on a regular basis.

Focus Kaizen
Focus Kaizen, an approach used by Pamalex, is aiming to create a convergence of Kaizen efforts towards a common target. Focus Kaizen is a Lean Six Sigma tool and uses DMAIC model. The advantages of Focus Kaizen are:
  1. Focus on the needs of the company with clearly define target
  2. Rapid Implementation to meet target and reap benefits
  3. Promote cohesiveness and teamwork
  4. Allow management to allocate supporting resource
Focus Kaizen is conducted over a one week workshop, participated by a cross functional team. The team is guided with a team charter and strong teamwork is required. Before embarking on Focus Kaizen, companies put a team of selected talents through our Focus Kaizen Preparatory Training. This training equips them with the methodology and Kaizen tools as well as the leadership mindset of a change agent.
